2024 Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

Description

A festive competition to build Holiday cheer! Feel free to participate and build your dream gingerbread house!

Winners will be announced on December 23rd.

All registered entries must be dropped off at the Keystone Lobby no later than 5:30 pm, Friday, December 6th.

Please bring your entry to the Keystone Lobby Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. A table will be set up for you to place your entry and fill out a form letting us know who you are and which division you are entering.

Rules

The house will be defined as a structure having at least 4 walls and a roof.
Barns, dog houses, homes, nativity scenes, etc. DO COUNT.

The scene must fit on a MAXIMUM 1ft by 2ft board, larger entries will not be accepted.

All Gingerbread Houses must be 100% edible candy/embellishments/materials except for lights 'inside/outside' the house.
Non-edible support structure material other than the baseboard may NOT be used.

No artificial interior materials, such as Styrofoam or wood, are to be used to construct or decorate the house.

Contestants may decorate their entry with non-edible figures.
These embellishments may not be attached to the house in any way.

Use of forbidden materials in or on the house will result in disqualification.

Criteria

Points will be awarded based on creativity, appearance (how tasty and beautiful does it look), structural soundness, and festivity.

Divisions

- Solo, 10 & Under

- Solo, 11+

- Group Entry (Friends, Family, Public Clubs)

- School Club

Top 3 places will receive Chamber Bucks as a prize, with school clubs being judged and awarded separately.

Standings will be acknowledged in all divisions.
